Creamy Salmon Pasta

On to my second Main Dish from the cookbook: Creamy Salmon Pasta 🍝 Now this is a dish I look forward to because 1) it’s seafood and 2) it’s pasta. Love them both 💖 The recipe difficulty level is set on Easy and the only thing that can terribly go wrong is overcook the pasta. Luckily I’ve cooked pasta before so I don’t have to worry about that ✌🏻😁

The ingredients weren’t too hard to find in the grocery. Just looking at it I know it’s going to be good 🤤 I’ve never used lemongrass before and I’ve only seen it in south east Asian food like Tom Kha Gai in Thai so this will be interesting 😯

Before jumping into the fire, I’ve prepared the ingredients first so it’ll be easier to add it in the pan. The smell of garlic, lemon and smoked salmon is so heavenly… 👼🏻💕

Once the ingredients are ready, I started heating up a pot of water for the pasta. I’m pretty sure by the time the sauce is almost finish the water will be boiling and I’ll be able to put in the pasta. It’s all about timing ⏱️👌🏻

And now begins the magic of making the sauce 💫 It started out simple and then worked its way to a nice, thick and creamy sauce 😍

When the sauce was set it was time to add in the greens, giving it a nice color 🥬

And right on queue, the water was boiling at this point. While the greens were cooking, I prepared the pasta. I would stir it occasionally so they won’t clump together.

After a few minutes the pasta was ready, drained and then added to the sauce. The sauce got so thick that I had to add a bit of pasta water to loosen it up.

The final ingredient was the smoked salmon… Omg, it smell sooooo GOOD ❤️🔥

Allow me to present the Creamy Salmon Pasta 🍝 from Norvrandt! Of course what is a pasta without bread and this happens to be four cheese bread 💗

Now for the taste… Amazingly delicious ❤️🥰❤️ It’s been a while since I’ve really like something from the cookbook. The creamy and lemony sauce, saltiness of the salmon and bit of bitterness from the greens; such perfect harmony! Man, it’s so good ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ The only improvements I would do is remove the lemongrass before serving it and make the portion a hell lot smaller. I would say one serving of this would be enough to serve two people. It’s a hearty meal so the portion would definitely have to be smaller.

Overall this is a very good dish! Aside from making sure I cook the pasta and sauce at the same time so none of them gets cold, it’s very easy to make. This makes me look forward to the other main dishes 😃
